Led by Dawn Sagrillo, Founder & Clinical Director

With more than 30 years of experience in plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine, Dawn Sagrillo is recognized as a leader, educator, and pioneer in non-surgical aesthetics. A board-certified nurse practitioner (AANP) and Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS), she also holds certification as a plastic surgical nurse (CPSN-R) and is an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP). Dawn was the first aesthetic nurse injector in Wisconsin and holds advanced practice licenses in multiple states, reflecting both her clinical expertise and commitment to the highest standards of patient care.

In addition to her clinical work, Dawn has played a defining role in shaping the field of aesthetic nursing and medicine. She served as a co-developer of the national Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) examination and has spent decades educating providers as a national trainer for leading aesthetic companies, including Allergan, Galderma, Revance, Evolus, and more. She has trained thousands of practitioners across the United States, contributed to national standards and the scope of practice in aesthetic nursing, and served on multiple professional boards and committees. Her depth of experience in research, education, and advanced clinical practice ensures that every patient at ReFresh benefits from care grounded in both proven expertise and continued innovation.

Dawn Sagrillo

Dawn Sagrillo's enduring dedication to the specialty of plastic and aesthetic nursing has driven her passion for delivering safe and superior outcomes in nonsurgical aesthetics. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1987 and has spent more than 30 years in both plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine, focusing on research, education, and clinical practice. Dawn also earned a Master of
Science in Nursing from Walden University and has been a certified adult- gerontology nurse practitioner (AGNP-BC) for over a decade. She is nationally board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP) in the State of Wisconsin. Dawn also holds advanced practice nursing licenses in both Arizona and Florida.

After a decade-long tenure with the Medical College of Wisconsin, Department of Plastic Surgery, she partnered with a nationally recognized plastic surgeon and played an integral role in establishing a successful private aesthetic surgery practice. Dawn was the first Aesthetic Nurse Injector in Wisconsin! In 2011, she established ReFresh Aesthetic Center and serves as its Clinical Director, Nurse Practitioner, and Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist. She practices collaboratively with her team of medical professionals, including a facial plastic surgeon, Doctor of Nursing Practice, nurses, and aestheticians to provide nonsurgical aesthetic services in a safe, caring, and comfortable environment.

As a Certified Plastic Surgical Nurse (CPSN-R) for the past 30 years and a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) since 2013, Dawn recognizes the value of specialty training. Her devotion to ongoing education led to her involvement for more than a decade as vice president and clinical instructor with Aesthetic Advancements Institute (AAI), an internationally recognized leader in continuing medical education in aesthetics.

With Dawn’s passion to mentor other practitioners entering the field of aesthetic medicine, she served as one of six faculty educators for nationally recognized TITAN Aesthetic Education and Training Company. Dawn is also a national educator and trainer for Allergan Aesthetics, Galderma Aesthetics, Revance Aesthetics and Evolus Academy. She is considered one of the pioneers in providing aesthetic injectable education, having
trained thousands of practitioners throughout the United States.

Dawn has served on numerous committees and professional boards throughout her career. She has been actively involved in the International Society for Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses (ISPAN), the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board (PSNCB), and the Plastic Surgical Nursing (PSN) Journal Editorial Board for over two decades. She was part of the founding committee that developed the Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) national certification examination. Dawn is one of the founders of the Wisconsin Aesthetic Provider Coalition and of Aesthetic Masterminds. She is a published author, contributing to plastic and aesthetic nursing
education for more than 20 years. Finally, Dawn is the creator of the US
patented BRIVO Boards and syringe holders.
