Wrinkles are an inevitable process with aging, but they don’t just happen randomly. Lines occur in the face in specific areas and for a specific reason. When lines appear around the mouth and the nose, it’s because the skin isn’t bouncing back like it used to. Get rid of these lines with one of the newest editions to the Restylane® family: Refyne™
ReFresh Aesthetic Center is proud to offer this ground breaking new dermal filler. Call our office in Whitefish Bay for your initial consultation.
Why Do We Get Wrinkles?
Think of the skin as a rubber band. When it’s new and properly moisturized it will stretch, but it always goes back to its original shape. As the rubber band wears, it loses its ability to bounce back to its original shape, leaving cracks and creases. The same thing happens with your skin. When you’re young, you can manipulate the skin by smiling and laughing and it will always return to its normal state. However, as we age, our skin loses collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid which influence this resiliency. It takes the reintroduction of these components to refresh the skin, give it its bounce back, and eliminate lines or folds.
How Does Restylane® Refyne™ Work?
Refyne™ works by reintroducing hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural moisture-absorber in our skin. It targets and absorbs water, which enhances elasticity and allows the skin to stretch and return worry free. With the decrease of our own body’s product of HA with each decade, we begin to see more lines and folds in areas of expression. Restylane® Refyne™ is a specifically formulated hyaluronic acid dermal filler using XpresHAn Technology™. By using the unique cross-linking technology, facial lines and fold are corrected, resulting in a more natural appearance to the lower face. Restylane® Refyne™ also supports facial expression areas so that you are able to continue to look and feel natural when smiling, pouting or even puckering up!
Getting Restylane® Refyne™
It’s always important to determine which dermal filler products such as Restylane® Refyne™ are right for you and your targeted areas of concern. This is where your initial consultation comes in. During this meeting, our experience and Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialists and Nurse Practitioners will review your medical history to make sure there’s nothing in your past preventing you from receiving this treatment. Once we’ve determined you can safely use Refyne™, we’ll schedule your first appointment. This product is formulated with lidocaine to minimize discomfort during treatment. Our practitioners apply numbing cream to treatment areas prior to injections.
Once your appointment is complete, we will go over post care to maintain your new look.
