Restylane® Defyne™ Defined
Lines and fold are inevitable as we age, but there are areas where we may be most aware of them, particularly in the lower face. Those lines that run from the sides of the nose toward the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds) and those that are distinct from the corner of the mouth toward the chin (marionette lines) become more visible over time.
Restylane® Defyne™ is formulated with XpresHAn Technology™ to target deepening expression lines. The unique cross-linking of the hyaluronic acid gel in Restylane® Defyne™ was also developed to provide support to your facial expressions, resulting in natural-appearing results that still maintain your natural movement.
Starting Restylane® Defyne™
Restylane® Defyne™ is a dermal filler treatment that is administered in about an hour. Patient comfort is always a priority. This product is formulated with lidocaine to minimize discomfort during treatment. Our certified aesthetic nurse specialists and nurse practitioners also start with a numbing cream applied to the treatment areas prior to injections.
What Does Restylane® Defyne™ Treat?
The two primary areas for this injectable treatment are the nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Marionette lines are the lines that run from the corner of your mouth to your chin, and nasolabial folds run from the side of your nose to the corner of the mouth. These are commonly called smile lines.
These locations represent some of the most actively used on our face. Because of this, they develop some of the most noticeable wrinkles, and deep creases develop over time.
Who is a Good Candidate for Restylane® Defyne™?
The ideal candidate is a healthy individual with realistic expectations from treatment. Despite not being able to erase deeper lines or folds, dermal fillers like Restylane® Defyne™ go a long way to minimizing their appearance. The best candidates are those who stop medications or supplements that influence bleeding or bruising. We’ll review any questions you have and your medical history during your initial consultation.
