Meet Arleen, Nurse Practitioner, Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist & Clinical Educator
Arleen attended Ursuline College on scholarship and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 1998. She then worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore for several years in the otolaryngology and neuroscience departments, where she achieved subspecialty certification as a neuroscience critical care nurse. She went on to obtain her Master of Science in nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2004, again graduating with honors.
Arleen is a member of many professional organizations, including Sigma Theta Tau, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses (ISPAN).
Arleen worked at an aesthetic and vein center as a board-certified family nurse practitioner until 2011. She was responsible for the aesthetic side of the medical spa, including training and supervising staff and establishing standards of care for the practice. Arleen joined ReFresh in 2011 as a founding team member, working closely with our clinical director to establish policies, procedures, and training for our aesthetic providers.
Arleen has advanced training and experience with aesthetic injectables such as neuromodulators and dermal fillers, threadlift, sclerotherapy, and the application of lasers and other light-based technology for skin rejuvenation and skincare. Her expertise is in the art and science of facial aesthetics. With Arleen’s confident yet warm and gentle approach, patients receive the best care coupled with superior outcomes in non-surgical aesthetics.

Meet Jessica, Aesthetic Nurse Specialist
Jessica attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and graduated with honors in 2018 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She then began her nursing career, working for RUSH University Medical Center in Chicago for 3 years in the ICU/Medical Surgical Unit.
During this time, she honed her technical nursing skills and foundational knowledge, giving her a strong clinical skillset to begin her aesthetic nursing career. Additionally, Jessica perfected her soft nursing skills such as critical thinking and integrity by caring for the sickest patients with COVID19 over the last three years.
After 3 years in critical care, and “missing” the artistry in aesthetics from growing up within a Day Spa in Glen Ellyn, IL, Jessica made the transition into aesthetics 1.5 years ago. She discovered her true passion to be an aesthetic nurse! She started her aesthetic journey training alongside an advanced nurse injector in Oakbrook, IL learning assessment techniques, safety, and developing her aesthetic eye. Subsequently, Jessica began two positions, one in a medical spa in Chicago and one in Hinsdale as a nurse injector.
Jessica is excited to bring aesthetic nursing skillset and outgoing personality to our ReFresh clients. She is is a perfect fit for our Aesthetic Nursing Team. We believe Jessica will be looking at our clients with the same aesthetic lenses and provide gentle touch to deliver results that make you look and feel your ReFreshed best!

Kristin Burkert, PA-C, MPAS
Meet Kristin Burkert, Aesthetic Physician Assistant
Kristin attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She then earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at Marquette University.
Prior to pursuing her passion for aesthetic medicine, Kristin spent over 11 years of her clinical career in orthopedic surgery, where she served as both a first assist during surgical procedures, as well as in the clinic setting. During this time, Kristin developed advanced skills such as suturing techniques and hyaluronic acid joint injections, which provided her with a strong foundation for the detailed work involved in nonsurgical aesthetic procedures.
Kristin has advanced training with aesthetic injectables such as neuromodulators and dermal fillers, and QWO. With Kristin’s confident yet gentle approach, patients can feel assured knowing they will receive the same customized care and superior outcomes they have come to expect from ReFresh Aesthetic Center.

Dawn Sagrillo’s synergy of aesthetic knowledge, more than 20 years of experience, and passion for her patients led her to growing ReFresh Aesthetic Center™ and its team to what it is today. Dawn believes a gentle touch, attention to detail, and aesthetic eye are essential to providing beautiful and natural results. Our practice name is rooted in her philosophy of care: simply giving women and men a ReFreshed look and feel.
