Let’s get to the POINT about aesthetic injectables. According to national statistics by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS, 2017), BOTOX/Dysport (neuromodulators) and hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Voluma, Vollure, Volbella, Restylane Refyne/Defyne, Silk and Lyft have seen a 10% increase in 2017. They also remain within the top six non-surgical procedures performed.
So, what do you need to know about neuromodulators and dermal fillers?

With dermal fillers, we can lift the midface, replace lost volume, provide contour to the cheeks or jawline, soften fine or deep lines, and enhance or simply restore volume and shape to the lips. B – BOTOX and Dysport can be preventative in that we are “quieting” overactive facial muscles so that those bothersome lines (crow’s feet, number 11s, forehead lines) don’t form. Or, we can erase or soften some of the damage those muscles working overtime have caused (vertical lip lines, ‘necklace’ lines). It is a proven fact that muscles have memory. So, if we put them in behavioral modification mode, they won’t return with the same vengeance when the neuromodulators wear off.
